|MATTHEW 28 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
December 1998 Rev. Augustus was a young man with
Joseph and Ree Sumi have been serving with the
Church of the Nazarene on the CIS Field since
June 2012. The CIS Field includes the countries
of Armenia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and the
area of Central Asia. Joseph was called into
ministry at the age of 13, and developed a heart
for cross-cultural ministry at 16, after studying
abroad in Japan. Ree accepted her ministry
calling while attending NNU.
Joseph ministers in the areas of church and leadership development across the field, building
up leaders in youth, missions, and discipleship. He is also working with the new volunteer
mission program on the Eurasia Region, M-Power, which is providing opportunities to
mobilize people into missions. Ree works with finances on the Ukraine District and takes
care of their three young children: Hannah, Elijah and Elizabeth.
