Darren Reed

Darren was born and raised in California and graduated with his B.A. from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1994.  He is married to Julie, a missionary daughter born in the Samoan Islands.  After meeting at PLNU, they married in 1992, and Darren has served in full-time ministry ever since, primarily as lead pastor in Oklahoma City, Hawaii, California, and Colorado.  Darren and Julie have six children ranging from 13 to 28.

Darren has served on most district committees over the course of 30 years, from NYI, NMI, NDI, finance committee, camp director, mission strategy committee, and the district advisory board, among others.  He has a unique body of experience having church planted, served in cross cultural settings, and pastored both rural and metro churches.  He loves the local church and has a passion for seeing people rise as leaders to be used as transforming agents of the gospel.

He received a Master's degree in organizational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University and is currently pursuing his EdD in Leadership from the same institution.  He loves road cycling, lifestyle and landscape photography, exercising, and camping with his family.

Mariah was born in San Diego and has lived all over California from Los Angeles to Pleasanton, Palm Desert to Tehachapi, and Bakersfield to Sacramento. She is Married to David since 2005 and they have 7 children ranging from 5 to 33 years old. Mariah has served in ministry with the Church of the Nazarene since 2010, and was a Children's Pastor for 10 of those years. Mariah has a heart for kids and camps, but also loves the administrative side of ministry and supporting Pastors as they live out their call. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, and discovering new things together.

Bonnie was born in San Jose, CA.  She and her husband Omar have been together since December 2000, having met while working together at Big 5.   Bonnie moved to Sacramento in 2001 and Omar and his family followed along with his family. They married in August 2005.  They do not have children of their own but they say they have 40+ teenagers because they coach high school sports.  Bonnie grew up Catholic but once she found her church home with The Crossing in Natomas, she formed her relationship with God and found His unconditional love.  God has called Bonnie to love teens and she considers serving her church a gift and looks for ways to love people daily.

CarolLynn was born in Tacoma, Washington. Her family moved to Petaluma, California when she was three to be closer to relatives. CarolLynn joined the California Army National Guard in 2000 and completed 12 years of military service. During that time, she spent six years on active duty with the National Guard on a homeland security defense mission as a supply sergeant. She also attended classes in the evening and online and earned a Master of Business Administration. CarolLynn has been married since 2003 and has two sons and a daughter-in-law. Her oldest son is currently serving in the U.S. Navy while her younger son attends school. His favorite subject is science. CarolLynn also volunteers her time as the treasurer for a Historical Preservation. She loves the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and enjoys decorating, painting and being creative. She also has an 80lb dog named Trigger. God has been a loving and peaceful presence in CarolLynn's life. He provided an opportunity for her to stay home and raise her children after her military service and she stayed busy serving in her church and started a side business doing image licensing and stock photography.
